Really excited to participate for the first time this year(if it happens)! Win/win for me as it will guarantee my spend requirement to hit SE and will earn a few extra RTW trips in F

Reading through canadiancow trip logs, I think I'll be able to find the time to do them this year(self employed). In terms of figuring out how to do those insane routings while maximizing time/cost efficiency and trying to stay alive while doing them... I'll need some help from the pros . I'll probably try to hit bottom 5 of top prize.
When did EYW start last year and how long did it last?
Also, I'm a bit mind blown by how carefully and perfectly canadiancow planned out and executed his trips for the contest. Really impressive stuff ^

Thinking about this a bit more, it will definitely be a lot more difficult for me to deal with IRROPS without concierge so I probably would have to take more time to have longer connecting times in between flights.
I wonder if it would make more sense buying a 3 month unlimited latitude flight pass. Were FP's allowed for last EYW?
