Important Event Notes
  • Promo codes are not applicable to this event. Upgrades and AE redemptions are blocked by revenue management - you get what you pay for.
  • No hockey puck beef will be served! If it is, send it back! (Unless that's actually what you like, you weirdo?)
  • The Do website will be down for regularly scheduled maintenance. Often. But we won't bother to tell you in advance.

Important Event Notes (real ones this time!)
  • The burger and Scotch theme is purely optional. Those are the specialties of the restaurant, but you're free to have a salad and a diet Coke, fish and white wine or whatever floats your boat.
  • Buchanan's does weekly tasting flights for a slightly reduced price. We'll have access to a few of these from recent weeks for anyone who's interested.
  • The Do host has not achieved Dorian's level of wealth and generosity. No T-shirts or other swag will be provided.
  • Reservation is under Adam Smith, but that shouldn't really be necessary. We will be taking up most of the main dining room, to the left after walking into the restaurant.

Please note that horses are not permitted in the restaurant and YYC is no longer littered with hitching posts outside every establishment, so the RCHHMP member should be prepared to make alternate arrangements for the animal.

This is a self-righteous comfort horse so you must have your vendors accommodate or the CBC will find out in short order. I will stand outside the restaurant and with megaphone in hand, chant HDY! HDY! HDY!

Also, did YYC give up the hitching posts to Lexus?

I'm going to have to NOSHO on this. Been working solid for 11 days now, and I suspect carrying on for another 10.

Cheers all!

Please do call the CBC, I will tear them to shreds. The reporter will be in tears when I'm done demonstrating why there is no reasonable accommodation possible for a high horse at the Do. Then AC will hire me to do its PR.

Get on the damn plan Jack. That way everyone call welcome you in the YYC lounge with a loud "HI JACK!".

But these comfort horses are 17 years old and require a guardian, otherwise they will be naked and afraid by themselves at YYC. You must accommodate!

Jack, if you want to come, great, look forward to finally meeting you. If not, that's fine too, but defecate or get off the pot

Okay. I can put them in a cab to YQF to catch another flight or put them in a hotel room with strangers.

Come on down!

The whisky flights can be nice. They're a good way to sample a few new ones at a reasonable cost - I think it's usually about $20-25ish for 3.

Please add Mrs. YYC3722 as a +1 for me.
She has survived the Star MegaDo8 and is up for more.

Is it ok if I bring a Stampede approved horse?

Youll have to book hin a table at least 6' away from any females in heat.

Given I live in YYC, I would be there, but I would be divorced since it's my son's birthday tomorrow (and him being only 5, no whiskey for him)

Love the idea of discounted whiskey flights. LOL!
