How best to use up soon expiring Krisfyler
Dear All:
My wife has ~9000 Krisflyer miles that are about to expire. We don't plan to travel with SQ anytime soon. I have gone to the Krisflyer shop but the items that are redeemable with her miles will cost $28 to ship to US. Since we don't like any of these items anyway, we don't feel like spending $28 to get one. Any other idea how to use these miles rather than letting them expire?
Thank you.

You could use to get $80 worth of Scoot vouchers. ($50 voucher + $30 voucher costing 8500 miles), but that may not be terribly useful if based in US. Another option is transferring to Virgin Australia Velocity program at a ratio of 1.35:1 but the catch is that you need have access to an address in Australia or New Zealand to join Velocity.

You can always donate the miles to the Singapore Make A Wish foundation.

With 10K points I believe you can redeem a one-way UA flight within the US/Canada but being short a bit the charitable donation would be something I would consider.

Is there anything I can do with < 1,000 miles?
I've got 983 KrisFlyer miles expiring at the end of April. It seems that the minimum mount I can do anything with is 1,000 miles. Is there anything else that I can do with these miles?

anything from the shop? using miles to offset airline fares don't seem worth it.
