This is the review for my 2nd and excellent stay in this great hotel. This time I bring my colleagues here and they loved it too. The hotel is now fully open and, having spoken with the staff, the occupancy rate is very high so they are very happy (although I heard it is creating sometimes a few problems for the breakfast at peak times).
Great welcome and Platinum treatment. I booked a deluxe double room and was upgraded to a lovely Executive suite, so it means a triple upgrade (not bad, isnt'it ?). As I already made a full review for the 1st stay, I will focus on the specifics of this 2nd stay.
Unfortunately, as we arrived after 8 pm, I couldn't try the lounge this time (they were supposed to introduce evening cocktails since my last visit). I got the drink voucher and the detailed welcome letter was in the room with some chocolate cakes.
Room
The executive suite was the same as the 2nd one I shown in my 1st review, but staying in was very nice (last time was just taking picture and the room was not even proposed for sale during my 1st stay - hotel in soft opening mode). It was on the 34th floor. Very comfortable and quiet. Among provided amenities, I can cite :
- Bluetooth speaker (working very well).
- bathrobe
- slippers
good selection of drinks in the minibar, including complimentary mineral water.
You can appreciate once again the great view over London from the room (same view from the bar & restaurant).
If I had to make one criticism, it will be for the bathroom : way too small for a suite of that category and there is 0 space to put your toiletry items. But OK I have survived this ;-)
There is a separate toilet in the living room area.
Dining
We had once again dinner at the excellent Bokan restaurant (advanced reservation highly recommended). We took the degustation menu, which was fantastic value for money (5 courses, £60). It was just top notch, and coming from a French person having a meal in UK, it tells a lot...ah ah ah :-))
We used our drink vouchers at the bar before dinner. This time I had no champagne, but the house wine was quite good. The bar was very busy too
Overall
Now that the hotel is fully open, I confirm it is still a very nice Accor place to stay in London, and they treat Platinums (and likely other Elites and non-members) very well. We should send them many French Accor hotels owners for a several day training ! They seem to do very good business since the opening and they deserve it.
Thank you to all the team in Novotel Canary Wharf for everything. You do a great job !
