COMO Parrot Cay Review

Back from a recent visit/Bro-trip to COMO Parrot Cay (PC) and Amanyara. 

Stayed at both resorts last year as well and knew PC was in for some ambitious improvements. 

Spoiler alert. PC has gotten even better and is currently my favorite in Turks, by a noticeable amount. 

Tapa has really made some awesome improvements. I think more are on the horizon as well. 

My video review below is 18 minutes and covers a good bit of details. 

As always, for those (my wife) who cannot sit through my rants, here are some high level points for PC:

• One bedroom beach houses have been fully renovated. Including adding on a second bedroom and expanding to a full size pool. 
• Butler service remains amazing and especially for Caribbean. My butler was from COMO Bhutan. Very warm service and attitude. Kept in touch and asked PC friends to assign him to look after my next client/family visiting in a few weeks. Used WhatsApp to communicate and was very convenient. 
• Many staff members are from Indonesia and SE Asia. 
• The vibe at PC is comfortable and relaxing. It's not a flashy place to be seen. 
• Brand new adult pool is completed and directly on the beach. The beach club/bar separates the adult and family pool. Both are fantastic. They removed the bushes in front of the family pool so it has obstructed views of the ocean. 
• Fiber optics installed. Wifi was very good (when it's connected), I got disconnected often. Could be my phone's problem. My friend has less issues with it than I. Had no issues with Facetiming my wife on the trip so I'd imagine any Zoom calls will suffice. Unless it's a meeting of 50 people. lol. But I believe study shows productivity hits 0 at the headcount of 17 attendees. 
• Food was average on my visit in 2019. This time, substantially better. Morning pastries were still hit or miss but lunches and dinners were fabulous (for Carribean). If you like Asian flavors, PC will stand out to you in the Caribbean. 
• Still the best sand and water I've come across in the Caribbean. Sand stays cool, huge plus for me! 
• Management is one of my favorites to partner with. Had 3 sets of clients staying around the same week and few earlier in the Fall as well. Pending feedback from clients who stayed the same week as I did. But earlier ones loved it and might return. As for recent clients, I'd imagine it'll be a positive review. They are members on FT so chances are, good or bad, they will share it. But I know the upgrades started the trip on high note :) 
• I still hate the rustic island style bikes. But everyone uses these. PC, Amanyara, every resort in Maldives. It gives the right look but it's horrible to ride on/control and I hate pedaling backwards to break.
