Check In
I checked in online and chose room 605. At checkin was given key to 620 which is just by the lift. My account preference is set to: away from elevators. I asked for different room.
Room
6th floor is Deluxe level. Room was fairly new and well equipped however rather small. Bedroom size was ok for two people, but wardrobe very shallow and could be an issue for longer stay, bathroom didn't have enough space for two people at the same time. Double shower. Toiletries from Crabtree & Evelyn.
Bathrobes in the room but no slippers. Most capsules for coffee machines were decaf rather than normal. A few sachets of normal and decaf coffee. Choice of black and herbal teas.
USB charging ports in two electrical sockets, one above the desk and one by the bed on one side.
King bed with firm mattress, quite comfortable. Very big TV and lots of channels, if it's matters for someone.
Dining
Received voucher for one free drink even though it was two of us. Didn't use it in the end.
There were some snacks in the room and two small bottles of water. I checked fridge but it was empty.
Breakfast was decent. Can't compare to other Double Tree hotels as I only stayed in one before. Around 9.00am not a lot of people, mostly family with kids and some tourits.
Location
Close to town centre, train station, car park. There's a private hotel car park but fee is £15 for 24h. Just beside the hotel there's a council car park on Victoria Way. On weekends and at night it's very cheap. Overnight stay unitl 7.00am costed £4.30, staying until 10.00am £8.20.
Overall
When it's cheap, it's good value for money if you want/need to stay in Woking. Quiet Sunday night was £120 or 30K points for premium award and £89 or 19K points for standard room.
