Deluxe Executive Suite

Four Seasons opened a new Dubai property "Four Seasons at Dubai International Financial Centre" this year in addition to their Jumeriah Beach property that was opened 2 years ago. Obviously with a focus on the business guests in town. I've recently had the pleasure of inspecting both and below are my views of my one night stay at the FS DIFC.

Check In

Without realizing, our driver pulled up to the hotel entrance after an hour commute from AUH airport. The entrance itself was extremely discreet for a Four Seasons property. The doormen politely took our luggage and escorted us to the front desk. The main entrance area had a couple check in desks though the lobby is on a higher floor. Similar to many new city hotels, think Park Hyatt New York. I'm not a fan of this type of setup but it also doesn't bother me too much. The lobby is tastefully done but nothing to write home about. You definitely get the feeling of a luxury boutique hotel (which is even odd for me to say out loud now, considering a FS to be boutique). We received an in-room check in as we had been upgraded to a Four Seasons Deluxe Executive Suite. The check in was done in 5 minutes. Efficient and quick, which was much appreciated after a long flight from the U.S.

Room

The suite was gorgeous and wasn't overly covered in gold as you may expect to see in Dubai. The best feature of the Deluxe category rooms and suites is the view. Floor to ceiling glass that looks directly onto the Burj Khalifa. I could see planes flying over the Burj, which was awesome! Glass wraps around the entire suite from living room through the bedroom. It felt seamless.

The suite is 121 sqm/1,302 sqft so it felt extremely spacious throughout. The closet was large as well and can easily accommodate 4 large suitcases. There were two 45-inch LED Samsung TVs (living room and bedroom).

The bathroom was nice enough with dual vanity, large glass shower, and stand-alone tub but nothing spectacular.

The bed was super comfortable as most Four Seasons properties I've stayed in. Again, the view from the bed is just as stunning as from the living room. Full view of the Burj! All lighting and shade (it does go full blackout, I slept like a baby...till 3am, thank you, jet lag) controls are by the bed, which is of course pretty standard these days.

Service

All staff members we've encountered were pleasant and warm. We especially enjoyed speaking with some of the members working by the roof top pool. Discussing their experience with working in Dubai and their view of Four Seasons as a company.

Here are some photos of the roof top pools as well...and no one used it during the day (10am - 2pm) as I think many were still sleeping off the previous (Friday) night.

Dining

As it was a quick visit, we were only able to test out the room service. Which was perfectly fine but nothing extraordinary. The beef tartare was good!

We did, however, get to visit the 2 bars on site...

The Churchhill Club (think gentleman's cigar club)

Then there's the Luna Sky Bar (sorry, only two photos as I lost some of the others)...

Overall

While it was a short stay, we really enjoyed it and thought it was refreshing to find a Four Seasons property with such intimate feel in a city like Dubai. Just 78 rooms and 28 suites.

I'd recommend giving it a try next time you're in Dubai for business or just go for an evening drink with a view.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM or email me.

I have more photos avialble here: http://www.besvisor.com/four-seasons-difc

I'll conclude with a shot of the Barber Room from the Presidential Suite!
