I do not have an extensive experience with MGallery, only stayed at a handful. However they never disappointed me really (The Budapest one was close though) and they can be really good (Vienna). The Bridge Wroclaw is at the top of the podium so far for me, the hotel was really excellent and above expectations in nearly all categories. A few points were disappointing but nothing serious.

I wanted a weekend in Wroclaw during Easter as it was a planned trip in April 2020, who of course got canned and I now had the opportunity to go. I choose this hotel based on the review here, the location and the general price (which can get quite high apparently).

Check In

I arrived at the hotel at noon and enquired about my room. Luckily it was ready and I could dropped my bag and refresh myself before going out for lunch. I was upgraded (not automatically, I had to query at checkin) from a standard family room to a superior King room. The main differences are the higher window, free bottle of water daily, bathrobe and slippers. I was also given a voucher for a drink, although the agent never mentionned ALL or my status.

As you can see, the lobby is airy and spacious, with a water wall on one side.

Room

The room was large, luminous and modern. I can not find any fault to it honestly, except one small point: the shower water pressure is not that great. Otherwise this was really perfect and I will let the picture do most of the talking.

The bathroom is separated from the room with a tinted glass wall on one side and proper walls and a door on the other side. Usual amenities are present, though in large container (which I personnally prefer anyway). There was a working warm towel rack, but a bit awklardly placed (above the toilet).

As you can see, there is a canopy above the bed where the main light source is located. There are also fake candles that can be turned on for a romantic lightning. The control were modern, with touch buttons at the entrance and besides the bed. Night lights the main hallway and the bathroom with a subdued lightning to avoid being wake up fully.

The room is modern, in addition to the ligthning and the very well controlled AC, the plugs are very recent and should fit most device. Plus the TV can be paired with a phone or tablet via bluetooth for music streaming and has a great sound system, with additional speakers in the bathroom for a singing shower.

Service

Service was generally good, at least in the restaurant for lunch and breakfast. The front staff was a bit more of a mixed bag and while enthusiastic, they seemed to not be up to the ball.

I was given a welcome gift during the first afternoon, which was quite nice: some local cookies and apple juice from a local producer. Perfect idea: local produces, small and unlikely to spoil if not eater/drunk immediately.

Dining

One of the highlight of the stay was the breakfast. This was a long time I had not seen such a good quality and extensive buffet in a hotel. There was a lot of choices, products were of good quality (cold cuts specially: pork, poultry, fish + vegetables, various condiments). One Hot dishe was rotating: one morning there was shakshuka, the next day this was replaced by mushrooms and then the final day this was another sort of sausages. Eggs, beans, pancakes, sausages, bacon were of course present. There was a good choice of juice (orange might be freshly squeezed), some smoothies one morning, cakes, pastries, cereals. Tea self served but coffee served at the table.

I could not take any pictures of the buffet as I never woke early enough to be alone but here is my choices of one morning:

I had lunch the first day, as I arrived at noon, was very hungry and a quick google search showed nothing I wanted in the immediate vicinity, Prices are high but menu looked good, and the food was good. Service may be a bit slow. The restaurant is popular with locals.

In room service menu is uninspiring.

Gym

Located on the 6th floor, so with views of the river and near the spa. Basic cardio equipments, one multi function strenght machines, barbells up to 10 kg, yoga mat.

Location

Location is very good, on the Katedra island and just besides said Katedra. Most attractions are within walking distance and if not, there is a bus stop and a tram stop nearby. There are not a lot of restaurants or cafe in the immediate vicinity, you need to walk a bit to find more choices. The immediate surrounding area is very nice at dusk, very romantic with the lightning, building and old stones.

Access to/from the airport: bus 106 from the airport to the main station, then bus A up to Katedra. 50 minutes if connections aligned (and they might not, bus schedule is unreliable).

Overall

Very good hotel that will be my first choice in Wroclaw if I ever go back. Prices might be high though.
