I recently finished a short stay at the Four Seasons Miami and thought I'd share with yall some photos and some thoughts. Please note that I do not care for spas and dislike resorts removed from civilization.

What I liked:

  • The Edge restaurant had great happy hour deals. Most drinks were half off, appetizers were buy one get one free, $1 oysters (very fresh). One caveat is that you can only get happy hour deals at the bar, or out on the patio, not at dining tables in the restaurant.

  • Speaking of the restaurant, the food was great. They have some sauces and chimichurri that were heavenly with seafood or meat. Service is great. The wine menu is just right - not too many choices and not too few.

  • There are three pools, one is for FS residents only, one is a standard pool, and the other is a wading pool with hammocks hanging over it.

  • Service by the pools was not so good. No one came to offer towels or drinks. We had to go hunt down some staff and ask for what we wanted.

  • The happy hour at Edge... awesome. I know I already mentioned it, but it's good.

  • The hotel's location is good. And by good I mean it's not on SoBe so there's not a ton of traffic. It's within walking distance to restaurants and, if you're there for work, many companies.

  • The hotel houses a lot of art work from paintings to sculptures, they are all over.

  • I liked every part of the hotel that was outdoors - the pool, the patio, the fire pit, the bar, the seating area for breakfast - all very nice.

What I did not like:

  • I may be one of few who use the FS app, but when I requested turn down service, I set a specific time for when I know I will be at dinner, but the housekeeping staff almost always showed up immediately.

  • The rooms were nothing impressive. Not that I was expecting something like a designer hotel, but just the colors and the quality of the furniture were a bit uninspiring. The bathroom, however, is nicely marbled.

  • There is no bathroom in Edge. The only closest one is outside of the restaurant, on the other side of the hall, by check in / reception.
