Check In
I had booked two connecting rooms, and the second room was 50% off. Check-in was pretty fast, and my Diamond status was acknowledged. The free breakfast amenity extended to both rooms.
Room
One room had a king-size bed, the second room two twin beds. I've always liked Hilton beds and linen, this hotel was no exception.
T
The rooms were of reasonable size, and everything felt..almost new. The hotel was opened in 2019, but I guess occupancy rates were pretty low during the pandemic.
Our rooms were facing the courtyard, and I didn't receive any upgrade (didn't push for it at the check-in).
There is a fridge in the room, the AC is easy to operate, as are the lights (not always the case in hotels, as we all know...).
Bathroom has a walk-in shower and the usual Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries.
Service
Staff seemed mostly pretty young, and they were trying hard. There were a few cases their lack of experience sort of showed, but they were always friendly.
Dining
Breakfast was pretty good. Different breads (including gluten-free), good selection of cheeses and cold cuts, eggs made to order, cereals... They had only two coffee machines which felt one too few during the busiest times. Apple juice was good, orange juice much less so.
We had drinks in the lobby bar, they had some nice local beers.
The rooftop bar is open from 5 pm to 10 pm, but it doesn't have any staff. Instead you order drinks with a QR code, and they are brought from the lobby bar. Or at least that's the idea. They ask to allow for 20-30 minutes for the order to arrive. After 40 minutes we went downstairs to ask about the drinks. The girl at the bar tapped on her computer for a while and said that the computer had messed up the order. Whatever. She was quite apologetic about it, though. We didn't have time for drinks anymore, and no compensation was offered. Ah well, at least the views from the rooftop bar were very nice! (Also the gym is on the sixth floor, and has a view of the rooftop bar, and vice versa.)
Location
Name of the hotel says "City Centre", which is borderline true, I suppose. The hotel is right off Gedomino prospektas, the main street of Vilnius. Hotel is pretty close to the western end of it, but one can walk to the other end in less than 15 minutes. The Occupation Museum is less than five minutes' walk away.
Taxi/Bolt from/to the airport was about 15 minutes, costing €7-8 (before possible tips).
Overall
Vilnius is a nice city to visit, and if you have status with Hilton Honors, this hotel makes sense. or maybe even if you don't have status! Prices were quite reasonable, and the hotel still feels almost like new. Most of the other international chain hotels are on the other side of river Neris in the more modern part of the city.
