I can't say enough good things about the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.  This was my second stay there--when I stayed last year I was Hyatt Diamond and used a Suite Upgrade reward.  They upgraded me to an enormous suite.

This year I was only Platinum, but used points to book the Concierge level.  Although we missed having a Suite, I can't say enough about the amazing service offered by all of the employees at this hotel.  We were unlucky to be in Hong Kong during Typhoon Haima.  Even though the entire city shut down, schools, governments, restaurants, etc they took amazing care of us.  We always felt safe and my two children were spoiled by the team in the Grand Club.  It is the best Hyatt club I have experienced.  The staff is amazing.

We also had a chance to try out the rennovated Grand Cafe.  It is amazing, they have the most incredible food stations.  Now my favorite Hyatt Breakfast as well--I liked it even more than Andaz Tokyo which was my previous favorite.

I do agree that the location is not ideal--but the staff more than makes up for it.  Someday when the construction is complete it will be a much better location.
