Check In

I arrived about 4pm and was quickly checked in - in fact I had checked in online so that made it seemless.  I dont particulary like the Hilton web check-in as I never seem to get an upgrade if I use it, however after a tip on here, I check in later (even the morning of the day I am due to arrive) as that gives the hotel a chance to give me an upgrade based on Diamond status.  Having used this trick, I always get a lovely room!

Room

As a junior suite, I found it large and it had a great view.  I think my only comment is that it lacks any sort of personality - not much on the walls and really just a bed, chair and a few other items.  Now dont get me wrong, I like minimalistic as much as the next guy but this room takes it to the next level!!!

Service

This is where this hotel is brilliant - the staff are one word - AWESOME!  I felt very welcome and that nothing would be too much trouble - a real improvement on other Hiltons I have stayed in.

This includes after my stay - I had left my charger in the room and the hotel have done everything to get it to me and will be sending it at their cost.  When I phoned they sent someone to look and said they had it - then gave me multiple options to get it back to me.  Really impressive.

Dining

I had the afternoon tea and evening cananpes in the Executive lounge.  You wont replace an evening meal with this but they are good and the lounge had a not bad choice of wine and sparkly wine available.  When I was in it was very quiet and the lounge had a great view over the city of London.

I really liked this place and wished I could have spent longer.

Location

The hotel is in Canary Wharf - and 1 stop from the O2.  I was actually going to a concert and felt this was about as close as you can get for minimal hassle.  It is also well connected with the DLR, tube and buses.  It may be slightly out of London centre but I would urge you to consider it if you are planning a London visit as it is well serviced with public transport - the Jubilee line is 5 mins away.

Overall

Great hotel, wonderful staff and a great stay.  One comment would be the slithly clinical decor in the room but apart from that the place was wonderful and I will be retuning - without doubt!
