Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport

Checkin was quick and efficient. Two front desk agents seem always on duty.

I have stayed twice and in both cases was upgraded to a corner suite before arrival. This made check-in very easy. Large bedroom with two walls of windows. Good black-out curtains. Dining table with six chairs seemed a little incongruous given that neither room had a desk and ergonomic chair (that would seeem more appropriate for an airport hotel).

Both rooms have very large, new flat screen TV. The also have a laminated card with all the channels listed (I wish all properties would do this simple but useful thing).

Living room is modest in size but has an "L" shaped couch, great view of the airfield and is suitable for TV watching. There is a door between the two rooms (when travelling with my wife this is important to us).

Sound proffing is excellent, I never have heard any noise from the outside or from other rooms while staying at this property.

This is the only Pittsburgh airport hotel that is at the airport. The rest of the airport hotels are a long drive from the airport. The closest is ten to fifteen minutes drives and the rest even further.

The property can be accessed fron the second floor of the terminal via a string of moving walkways that make it quite convenient.

This is one of the very best airport hotels I have stayed at.

Service was friendly and efficient. Several times I have been accomodated beyond what can be expected.

The restaurant, as others have noted is quite good for a hotel restaurant. The menu is reasoably priced given the high quality of the food. The menu is also varied and contains vegetarian and other options for the health concious.

The buffet breakfast is fairly standard for Hyatt Regencies and superior to most all other airport hotels that I have stayed at in North America. The cooked to order omlette is excellent as is the steel cut oat meal.

Unfortunately this property does not have a Regency Club.
