Introduction

I had a stay in this hotel recently while being between flights , i went there not only because its accor but because it matched with most of requirements i had for this stay

Check In

Arrived from FCO by shuttle dedicated for this hotel

More details here

The driver didnt ask to pay for the journey from airport to hotel but asked for names/surnames . so i assume the company charge the hotel for each guest

For the return journey you need to make a reservation and pay , then reception should give you a ticket

Arrived a day later than expected thanks to TAP , so i essentially paid for an extra night , but didnt had to pay the city tax for this first night

Two agents at the desk had to deal with wave of people arriving in same shuttle , so it took some time to sort out everything

Room

About the room, classic as usual

It seems this building has two parts , the older one and new one , and the people complaining about outdated rooms stayed in the old side

In my case i got lucky i guess , room was nothing like those advertised on the website

Bed was ok , furnitures a bit cheap-ish but good . This room had all the basics but nothing more

i only realized it after but i guess i have been upgraded to privilege room instead of standard room i booked

TV was a bit strange , i had troubles to turn it on so reception sent someone for help and it was quickly resolved

As i expected it was 90% italian channels , the rest was the standard package of international channels (1 per language) , so i had to find music to make this TV useful

I found one more hotel in western europe where RTR is still available

fco-06.jpg

The bathroom size was ok , but nothing crazy

I can see the new policies are being rolled out quickly regarding single use plastic ,

fco-11.jpg

There are still some items left from the old days , but the rest is gone , no more small mercure bottles of shampoo or shower gel

fco-12.jpg

Gym

The hotel has a swimming pool and tennis court and if my memory is correct also a gym and a spa

But i havent used any of them for obvious reason , not the good weather neither enough time for it

Dining

for dinner i had to find a restaurant nearby , so no idea what the hotel's restaurant has to offer

fco-30.jpg

For breakfast , i fortunately had time to eat , cause TAP rebooked me to noon flight , the afternoon flight got cancelled but thats another story

fco-26.jpgfco-27.jpg

The breakfast is in buffet mode

fco-21.jpg

Plenty of choice but nothing crazy from what i can remember

fco-22.jpgfco-23.jpg

The only item that really stood out was this monstruosity

fco-24.jpg

The dreams of many toddler became reality

fco-33.jpg

The breakfast was good , i wish they had a bit more veggies

fco-25.jpg

Beside that i couldnt stay long , cause i had to catch the shuttle

Overall

In a nutshell , it was a good stay , nothing special more to say

in my case this hotel made the job , but i didnt have really huge requirements or expectations besides the shuttle from airport , so i could avoid handling my luggages through public transports or taxis

I recommend this hotel if you are in transit for a night or two max , and there are few restaurants around but many close quite early in the evening

Otherwise if you are visiting rome , there are for sure more exciting accor properties to visit in rome , like for instance Mama Shelter
