Not up to the Waldorf-Astoria standard, but still "ok" due to location and price

Room

no slippers, mini-bar not stocked properly, carpet very, very stained. Bed and sheets fine, robes fine. TV would lose cable signal every 10 minutes or so.  Water was turned off all day on a Monday which was supposed to be only for three hours, which turned to seven, then ten, then 12 and finally after 13 hours the water came back on....but it was a nice cream colo(u)r for the next two days and certainly not potable.

Dining

restaurants were sparsly used, and while Panamanians often eat later I was sometimes the only person there at 7-8pm. Food at Ginger was just bland and overpriced. The main restaurant was a little better. Part of my room service order was done wrong but it was fine taste wise.

Overall

Lots of little things with this hotel add up to it not meeting the  Waldorf-Astoria standard. Some things were great like the spa and bar tenders, and the concierge was helpful arranging trips, the doorman and bellhops were great. Housekeeping was fine. Check-in staff were acceptable.

But maybe this is why the price was so low for my four day business stay; the price was lower than W-As normally are, so I guess you get what you pay for. If the price were still that cheap I would stay again due to the location, but if the price went up, no way, I'd find another hotel
