As a summary I could say I had a really great experience and would certainly recommend this hotel.

Highligh might be the service I encountered.

Unfortunately I only have 1 picture but I think my review will say it all.

PS Maybe worth mentioning that 'Hotels Van Oranje' are actually 2 hotels.  Hotel van Oranje, autograph collection which is reviewed here and 'Beachhotel' member of Worldhotels (Deluxe).  Restaurants, sauna, fitness and swimming pool are shared.

Check In

We arrived around 4PM and it looked like rush hour at the reception.  4 people were staffing the reception and still there was a line.  I used the app to check-in online and there was a sign for elite check-in but there was no clear dedicated line for either of the two.

I didn't have to wait too long however and was soon helped.    The mobile check-in created some confusion as my reservation first was not found, then it looked like somebody else was already in the room.  Only when I said I used mobile check-in did the receptionist know that she had to look in the collection of prepared keysets.  It was my first time I used this feature so I did not think about mentioning this directly....

The hotel has 5 restaurants, a swimming pool, sauna and all of these were mentioned and explained during check-in.  Also the parking options were explained:

The hotel does offer parking for 20€/day outside and 35€/day in a covered parking.  Public parking is possible at parking Wantveld, a 10-15 minute walk for 7.5€/day.  During special occasions like last weekend they try to reserve their outside parking for hotel guests but they do not guarantee you will always find a spot on this parking.

Check-in was pleasant, I left well-informed and felt welcome.

Room

I received the room I reserved.  Beds were put together as requested in my reservation.  As a Silver Elite I received 2 bottles of water, 2 pieces of fruit and a welcome letter that offered a 10% discount in restaurant 'the Dutch!'.

The room is partly old classy and hip/modern as can be seen on the picture.  Positives about the room are: spacious, lot's of light from ceiling to floor windows, possibility to open the doors to a small terrace (they call it the courtyard but it's not the kind of terrace I would enjoy sitting on, large safe, big collection of toiletries, good curtains.
Negatives: no thee/coffee facilities in the room

Service

Every single staff member we interacted with was uber-friendly and helpfull.  (And I really mean uber-friendly).  At the reception, in the swimming pool, in the restaurants, everywhere.

Staff members you crossed in the lobby or the corridors would greet you as well.

Very positive experience.

Also the contacts we had with the reception to make reservations in the restaurents were professional, helpfull and fast.  (and they did follow-up when necessary)

Dining

On our first evening we had dinner in restaurant Oriento (this used to be 'De Orangerie').  Oriento is asian inspired cuisine.  The restaurant is open since April.

We opted for the Travelling Dutchman four courses menu.  Wine and food were perfect as was the service.  This was really an almost perfect experience if it were not that the time in between courses was too long.  Service did compensate quite a lot as they really took care of every single detail.  I really enjoyed our meal here on our first night and can recommend the restaurant and this menu.

On our last evening we had dinner in restaurant 'The Dutch!'.  I taught this was their best restaurant but maybe we had our expectations up too high after restaurant Oriento.  We took a four course Asparagus menu.  Unfortunately they completely messed up the first course, the second course was not really our taste, the main course and desert were really good luckily.  I should say I give them credit for admitting that they forget some of the ingredients in the first course but still they did nothing to make it good.  I have enjoyed better menus for 135€ (for 2 inclusive wine and apero, after our silver member discount).  We left the restaurant slightly disappointed.  Service here was good as well but not as good as in Oriento.  Fun thing about this restaurant is that many dishes seem to be prepared next to your table, unfortunately none of the asparagus menu.

Location

The hotel is situated on the beach boardwalk.  Noordwijk is a small village, you can walk to the center.  Many other restaurants are situated on the beach boardwalk.

Swimming Pool / Sauna

To wrap up I quickly wanted to mention the swimming pool/sauna.  The swimming pool is an indoor wave pool.  It's open to outside guests as well but on weekdays from 8PM till 11PM it's reserved for hotel guests.

The wave pool is huge and not to miss if you stay in the hotel.  Life guard is on duty.

(this picture is from the hotel's website as I did not have my camere with me when I was there)

The sauna is located beneath the swimming pool.  You access it by walking through the swimming pool.  Sauna is strictly nude.  You have 2 infrared cabins, 2 regular saunas (80 and 90 degrees celcius), a steambath,a jacuzzi a dip bath and small resting area.  For hotel standards the sauna is pretty large.

Both areas were well maintained and clean.
