Stayed here in Nov. 2017 and thought I would post a few pictures of a club room for those wondering about whether to stay here or elsewhere when at LHR as the reviews seemed to be a mixed bag and nothing beats pictures to make up your own mind.
I only have starwood gold through Amex so booked a club room with cash as the rates at that time were reasonable to me and I didn't want to leave getting one to chance….I booked through the website directly. I don't believe there is any further upgrade so can't comment on whether Gold would have benefitted me on this occasion.
I could recommend the hotel if the rate was good or you had status or wanted to collect points with Starwood properties.
Check In
There were a few check in desks and the reception is straight ahead when you enter the property. The car park is quite large but popular so I had to hunt for a space initially but later on found one without issue. They share the car park with a car rental agency so be aware of any allocated spaces before walking away! From memory it was £15 for parking on top of the room rate. IIRC there was 10 minutes or such for dropping off without charge if needed.
I was checked in quickly and told my benefits as well as the hotel facilities by a friendly and helpful chap and soon on my way. There is a dedicated top tier level starwood check in desk and it was manned. ^
Service
Service was good at all areas we used except for the lounge if I’m honest but maybe that was just my timing. The lounge is simply a slightly separated part of the dining area / restaurant and although we arrived just before closing of the ‘lounge’ I didn’t see any alcohol or any food out. There were the fridges mentioned in previous posts on the hotel thread, maybe I simply missed where other items were located or they were clearing up already but I didn’t see any staff either so at the very least I was underwhelmed by the club lounge. We had excellent service everywhere else throughout the stay.
Dining
We decided to move to the restaurant proper and had a late meal, the menu was quite varied and offered plenty of options. I had a steak and it was really quite good for an airport hotel. The service was excellent from two wait staff as was cleanliness. We left at zero dark thirty in the morning so didn’t have breakfast…
Room
The room was perfectly fine for a quick overnight stay and decent for space but you would be pressed if you had wanted to have a roll away bed or a third person staying…for me it was quite nice, clean and had everything I could want. The pictures tell a much better story so I’ll let them do the talking and hope this short review helps others considering the hotel.
I am not sure what happened but there must have been some housekeeping issue with the room before I entered it as there was a pair of adjustable pliers in the shower that the service staff must have forgotten or got called away before cleaning up…everything worked fine in the room and the shower was hot and had good pressure. I did not hear any noise from the airport or the car park (the window faced the car park at the front)…but I sleep like the dead so maybe others will be better to ask about this if you are a light sleeper or have concerns.

Overall
For the value for money the hotel was good. Friendly helpful staff, clean common areas, restaurant and rooms and a decent food choice with parking options mean it can cater to most. I wouldn’t call it an aspirational property but it is certainly a good airport hotel and can be recommended without issue.
Safe travels.
