This was a very short 1 night stay. I was landing at 1 am in ATH, so I thought it was better to stay there, before heading into town the next morning. As reported by previous posters, you pay a premium for the location. I was in the lobby literally 7 min after having disembarked from my plane. I paid around €150 (pre-paid) which is high for ATH. But the quality is there.
Check In
Formalities were quickly expedited. Efficient and nice staff. I was told I was upgraded to Luxury room, I was given the drink voucher (no time to use it) and the welcome letter. I was also asked spontaneously if I needed a late check-out (no need this time but nice to be asked).

The room was on one of the 2 executive floors (7 and 8th).

I liked the modern style of the room, so this is not the dated style of the previous review. I don’t know if they have started a renovation and not finished it yet. Same for the bathroom with a good stock of Hermès products ;)
Slippers, bathrobe, Nespresso machine, all I needed was there :)

Unfortunately, no time for any food experience during this short stay. I went to the lounge as the welcome letter was stating that a light breakfast could be taken at the lounge, but this was wrong. There were only a few macarons available. The lounge was unattended. There is a kind of booth outside where I suppose an attendant is there in the evening (?). I could enter the lounge with my key card. It is windowless, unfortunately but design and furnitures looked OK. I didn’t stay in as there was no BF.
Overall
Overall, a good hotel with good Platinum treatment. Perfect location for the airport, but of course not if your interest is to go downtown. Premium price to pay for the airport location, as for all that kind of hotels with direct access to the terminal.
