I am Marriott Plat - stayed on points. It is a very nice hotel. No breakfast amenity since it is a resort. Paid for breakfast - prices are higher - but food was good and portions were large.  Very nice property - some rooms are a long walk from the lobby.  Beach was very nice. I wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the resort. Location wise it is on its own....not near any shopping/other dining. It is about a 15min drive north of Waikoloa resorts.  

To Mauna Kea VIS is was about 1h5m drive. It was about a 2hr drive to Volcanoes National Park.
