We checked in prior to noon for a 5-night stay. A nice surprise - our early check in request was honoured. Billy, our Westin Guest Experience Specialist, e-mailed in advance & had arranged for our Westin Workout gear to be available. Our upgrade - to a 2-room suite on the 3rd floor - was perfect : two TVs, couch, desk, lovely windows & a fridge. Our bedroom came c/w king bed, 4 piece bath and a soaker tub. Also, we had ample closet and storage space for a 5-night stay.

The location is to die for - opposite Trinity College Dublin, right on the 747 Express bus from the airport, and easy walking distance to Temple Bar area c/w rests.

A highlight each am was breakfast. The Westin Dublin provides a full buffet breakfast for 2 as its Plat amenity and - as others have suggested - its well worth it. We took the opportunity to order Irish porridge, tea and lattes. Otherwise, the buffet is complete with muesli, OJ, breads & bagels, muffins, eggs, smoked salmon, and bacon. Also, both The Irish Times and the FT are complimentary.

On rain days, the hotel had plenty of brollies (we used two). The only inconvenience was the construction underway around the hotel - the noise was not a problem (hotel is pretty soundproof) but it made for interesting mud puddles.

The hotel staff were unbelievably good. Billy checked in with us twice during our stay. The folks at the front desk made sure we received extra towels, our Plat amenity, and water. The Westin Dublin may not be The Dorchester, but the service was much better than @ any Westin we have visited.
