When it came to Saigon I didnt had high expectations. First I choosed the Intercontinental as Im not a Hyatt-fan and the suite at the IC had 30sqm more. Also we stayed in the end of February and the Park Hyatt closed in the beginning of March for a big renovation. I expected a totally worn hotel. The new opening Reverie seemed also to be a good option but it opened just in February and no suite was ready at the time we visited. So no option at this time.
In the end I heared to the advise at this forum and booked 1 night at the Park Hyatt in an Executive Suite via Virtuoso. With 800 € I didnt found it to cheap, but at least a dinner at their Vietnamese restaurant was included. As I wasnt ready to use a taxi in Sagon (funny if you consider my arrival) I also booked the S-Class transfer which made 75 € each way.
When we arrived at the airport we were promply greated by PH-staff in a white uniform. A brand new S-Class with entertainment system was already waiting and we made our 15 minutes drive to the hotel. Really a very convinient experience.

The lady offered us a paid upgrade to the Presidentials suite (didnt asked how much) which we declined. Our 110 sqm suite was good szized and in a good condition. We had a big living room with dining table and adjected kitchen, a second bathroom, a nice bedroom and a marble bathroom with a big shower. Even if it wasnt brand new we loved the attention to detail. A lot of original art, antiques and other little treats. Really a nice suite! As welcome gift we got a bottle of wine and very good snacks.

Our suite looked out the street. While the windows were very good sound proofed we learned that streets get busy at night....

One of the big advantages of the hotel is the great garden with a nice peaceful pool. We ordered some good cocktails.

At the evening we ate our dinner at Square One, the Vietnames restaurant. We got a fixed menu with many differnt dishes in a great quality. Everything was totally fresh and very tasteful. I was really imressed. Breakfast the next morning at the Italian restaurant was also good with nice choices.
We got a late check out until 6 pm without problems, the transfer to the airport was again very good.
Sure, the PH isnt a cheap option but it offers great service and a good hardware. It will be interesting how it looks after the renovation. So far I can only recommend it and Im sure it will be even better when it reopens.
